[Bloggers & Brands] How To - Not Write A PR (Public Relation) Email

Being a lifestyle blogger, my lifestyle blog that promotes style with substance and self-improvement, attracts many PR emails. Since hits are still in growing phase (I don't know what people are looking for! *eye-roll*) it attracts emails that look less like a legit PR (Public Relation) email and more like I-don't-know-what-I-am-doing .

Let's see this one that came in today-

Unprofessional PR email samples

This email fails in professionalism and email etiquette at all levels. This also shows the kind of brand they are working for that would go and hire such a PR company.

UNPROFESSIONAL PR EMAIL SAMPLE

HERE ARE A FEW SUGGESTIONS FOR BRANDS

  • Always ask your PR team to "bcc" you in every email pitch they are sending to bloggers/influencers.
  • High reach or low reach sites, pitch with professionalism.
  • Proper greeting, respect for the blog and good attitude towards accepting the refusal from bloggers should be taught to PRs.
  • Never underestimate the power of "written communication".
Please don't forget to share your experience and pain in the @$$ emails by any person and you handled it.

Till later!
